Hi there, Crafties

Don't you just love blocks and motifs? I know I do, because it is so versatile. You can do almost anything with it. Blankets, throws, cardi's, coats, bags... You name it. Or you can use it for a sweet little coaster, like today's pattern Sweetie.

You can use any old yarn you like and are happy with. But I know, being such a Sweetie, you'll want to use yarn to match it. And it's easy-peasy 😎

Here we go:

CH3, 15DC IN RING, JOIN 

CH4, 1DC, CH1, 1DC... REPEAT AROUND = 16 CHAINS, 16 SPACES 

JOIN 

SS TO 1ST SPACE 

CH2, 1HDC IN SPACE, CH1

2HDC IN NEXT SPACE, CH1, 2HDC IN NEXT SPACE... REPEAT AROUND, 

JOIN 

SS TO 1ST SPACE, CH3, 2DC, 3CH, 3DC IN SPACE (CORNER) 

CH2, SKIP 4HDC'S, 1HDC, CH3, 1HDC IN NEXT SPACE, CH 2, 

SKIP 4HDC'S, 3DC, CH3, 3DC IN NEXT SPACE...

REPEAT AROUND

JOIN

FASTEN OFF AND WEAVE IN ENDS.



Round 1: 16 dc's in a 5ch ring




Round 2: Ch 1, dc, ch 1...




Round 3: 2hdc, ch 1, 2hdc



Round 4: 3dc, ch3, 3dc for corner. sc, ch3, sc in between




Join-as-you-go. Refer to the pic; the red yarn shows where to join-as-you-go. Join with 1ch and 1sc and 1ch and dc's for corners
