Hi there, Crafties

Don't you just love blocks and motifs? I know I do, because it is so versatile. You can do almost anything with it. Blankets, throws, cardi's, coats, bags... You name it. Or you can use it for a sweet little coaster, like today's pattern Sweetie.

You can use any old yarn you like and are happy with. But I know, being such a Sweetie, you'll want to use yarn to match it. And it's easy-peasy 😎

Here we go:

CH4, 1DC, CH1, 1DC... REPEAT AROUND = 16 CHAINS, 16 SPACES 

JOIN 

SS TO 1ST SPACE 

CH2, 1HDC IN SPACE, CH1

2HDC IN NEXT SPACE, CH1, 2HDC IN NEXT SPACE... REPEAT AROUND, 

JOIN 

SS TO 1ST SPACE, CH3, 2DC, 3CH, 3DC IN SPACE (CORNER) 

CH2, SKIP 4HDC'S, 1HDC, CH3, 1HDC IN NEXT SPACE, CH 2, 

SKIP 4HDC'S, 3DC, CH3, 3DC IN NEXT SPACE...

REPEAT AROUND

JOIN

FASTEN OFF AND WEAVE IN ENDS.



Round 1: 16 dc's in a 5ch ring




Round 2: Ch 1, dc, ch 1...




Round 3: 2hdc, ch 1, 2hdc



Round 4: 3dc, ch3, 3dc for corner. sc, ch3, sc in between




Join-as-you-go. Refer to the pic; the red yarn shows where to join-as-you-go. Join with 1ch and 1sc and 1ch and dc's for corners

  Hi there, Crafties I know, it's been ages since I've posted anything! But I was in a bit of a fix. Romance  Hi there, Crafties I don't know about you, but I don't consider myself to be a very romantic person. Of course, I love getting something nice from Hubby, but it doesn't have to be chocolates or flowers. Being a writer, I really appreciate a journal or notebook more. But for all the romantics, here's a lovely little scarf. I know many people don't like long, flowing scarfs (my sis is one of them). You can make it as long as you like, but mine is short and sweet with only 20 motifs. It is quick and easy to whip up over a weekend. The last minute accessory for that special date. I've used some thinnish leftover yarn (I have small balls without any labels), but I know you have just the right yarn sitting around waiting for something like this. First hello

Hi there, Crafties My name is frieda and I am the maker behind poppelandcreates . I am not so new to blogging, but I am new on Blogger. I will be sharing crochet patterns - I know, I know, every Tom, Dick and Harry - do this, but hey, a famous man once said: In the future, everyone will have their 15 minutes of fame. So, this will be mine. For me, blogging is mainly a form of keeping my patterns and ideas in one place. Maybe I won't post something for weeks, but I definitely wíll post something sometime!
